Concentration Area: Drugs and Medications
It is proposed to offer to the student tools to help clarify pathophysiological mechanisms of diseases prevalent in the Amazon, evaluate the biological activity of native plant species, as well as to identify the chemical constituents of native plant species, develop phytotherapics and phytocosmetics, quality control and evaluate their uses, besides using computational tools to propose chemical modifications in molecules derived from plants or synthetic, contributing to the rational use of the Amazónian biodiversity.
