Reduction of social inequalities
One of the objectives of the PPGCF is to reduce the social inequalities of the Amazónian people through the rational use of biodiversity in the region. Therefore, the studies carried out on phytotherapics and their efficacy, by means of biological tests (microbiological, parasitological, pharmacological, behavioral and toxicological), characterization of chemical composition, among others, stand out. The subject is also treated in Master's dissertations. The knowledge gained about this category of medication is passed on to the population of the region through guidelines issued at meetings, local newspapers, television programs, radio and other media.
